HEAT SHRINK HEAD-HEAD INSULATED JOINTS - "ELPRESS" SERIES -
Material: joints in tinned copper (copper 99.95%) with heat shrinkable polyamide (PA) insulation with internal adhesive.
Color: the color of the insulation varies according to the section of the conductor to be combined (see table).
Use temperature: max +90°C
Flammability: flame retardant and self-extinguishing UL94-V0.
Features: these couplings are made of copper and electrolytically tinned to offer the best possible protection against corrosion. During the manufacturing phase, the inner tube is subjected to the annealing treatment in order to allow a perfect crimping at any point. For a correct connection with the cables, they must be crimped on both ends. After crimping, under the action of heat (by means of, for example, the use of industrial hair dryers) the insulation of the joint shrinks and the internal adhesive melts to create a single body between the cable and the joint itself. ; this will allow to obtain a connection resistant to humidity and water splashes.
